Daktari Kioski is a Tanzanian health-technology company, established in May 2024, that takes quick, non-invasive health screening to where people already are.
Our story
We were founded by a doctor trained at MUHAS who worked at Mwananyamala hospital, where patients with stroke, heart failure and kidney disease arrived too late every day. Most had never had their blood pressure measured. We built a kiosk and a digital platform so that a 90-second check reaches the market, the terminal and the office, and results are never lost again. Early detection is the key to managing non-communicable diseases, and our aim is to reduce stroke, heart and kidney disease among low-income adults by finding risk early, educating, and linking people to care.
